Former KPLC Anchor, Randy Garsee Dies at 50

I met Randy Garsee several years ago when he and I were appearing in Gridiron. I haven't seen him in years but, I do remember that he was one heck of a nice guy and very down to earth.

Since that time, Randy had moved on to Alexandria, Virginia and was a fixture in that market.

Randy and I used to joke about the fact that he was from Evadale, Texas. When I was a kid, if the wind was blowing from the wrong direction, the smell of the paper plant in Evadale made it all the way to Beaumont. He was very good natured about the kidding and added that it was even worse right there by the plant.

Randy Garsee died at his home in Alexandria, Virginia yesterday at the age 0f 50.

Our prayers and condolences go out to his family. Those of us who knew him, despite the fact that we may have not seen him in quite sometime, know he will be missed by all.
