They billed themselves as 'Click and Clack, the Tappit Brothers. In reality they were Tom and Ray Magliozzi, a pair of MIT grads who started their own radio show called 'Car Talk' in Boston. The show went on to become a very long running, highly popular syndicated show on NPR.

Now, you wouldn't think that a show about cars would be all that popular, but their success was nation-wide. So successful, in fact, that even though the brothers retired after Tom's diagnosis with Alzheimer's, radio stations still air re-runs of the show.

Tom, who was 77 passed away from complications of the terrible disease yesterday.
