Forgotten Classic Hits — A “Forgotten” Number One Hit from 1973

Last week, when I posted our first "Forgotten Classic Hit" I mentioned that some "forgotten" hits had actually made it to #1. Well' this week's Classic Hit not only made it to #1 on March 17, 1973, it was also the #1 Song of the Year in the U.S. and Great Britain.

So, here it is, the monster hit that kind of lost favor over the years. Tony Orlando and Dawn with "Tie a Yellow Ribbon 'Round the Old Oak Tree"
