A jury has found that former Catholic priest Mark Broussard molested and raped altar boys in Calcasieu Parish. The crimes took place while Broussard was a priest at Our Lady Queen of Heaven and at St. Henry catholic churches back in the 1980s and 1990s. Broussard became a priest at Queen of Heaven in 1986.

The jury, after less than two hours of deliberation came back with the decision that Broussard was guilty on two counts of aggravated rape, molestation of a juvenile, aggravated oral sexual battery and aggravated rape.

While there were four men who took the stand to testify against Broussard, the charges only involved two of the witnesses. According to testimony, Broussard's main targets were alter boys and that he would befriend the boys and take the out to eat and various other activities. According to testimony, Broussard was a predator victimizing children for 30 years,

Sentencing is set for 9 a.m. on  March 11. Broussard, of course, can expect life in prison.
