Drug ‘Take Back’ Program Announced

Just about everyone has unused prescription medicine of one form or another and just throwing away these meds can be dangerous.

Local authorities have teamed up with the FDA to gather and properly dispose of these prescription medications.

Here is the schedule of the Drug 'Take Back' program.

Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office: September 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of Walgreens, located at 1204 The Blvd in Rayne.

Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office: September 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its office located at 412 Bolivar Bishop Drive in  DeRidder.

Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office: September 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the courthouse in Jennings, located at 300 N State St.

Lake Charles Police Department: September 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the north parking lot of the Lake Charles Civic Center.
