While we in Southwest Louisiana have seen more than enough rain for awhile, our rainfall is nothing compared to that in Central Texas. I lived in Austin for awhile and the hill country is beautiful, but it doesn't take a heck of a lot of rain for some of the areas between those beautiful hills to flood.

When I lived up in the hills just northwest of Austin, there were a few roads that would become impassable after just an average rain storm. Flash floods were especially bad because the water would come rushing down the hills and more than one motorist became stranded with almost no notice.

In this video, DLR Productions put a drone into the air to get a birds eye view of the flooding and it's fascinating and terrible at the same time. I know every area in this video and it's very strange to see those places underwater. Combine the great footage with a soundtrack by Stevie Ray Vaughn and you've got one hell of a video.
