Add one more thing to the list of risks associated with Facebook (along with being stalked by strangers).  Research found that Facebook use may be linked to increased self-consciousness and negative body image issues.  A poll found that three quarters of Facebook users are unhappy with their bodies, and more than half said seeing pictures of themselves and others on the social networking site makes them feel worse about how they look.  Around 40% of respondents said they compare themselves to their Facebook friends and feel envious of their figures.  And thanks to the site’s new Timeline format, it’s easy to track people’s weight loss and gain over time through photos.  No wonder Facebook stresses people out!
