Update — Those Weird Sirens

I was watching TV Sunday evening when I noticed that the very loud siren in the background was not part of the movie I was watching. I muted my TV and noticed that the sound was outside. I stepped out on my porch and all my neighbors were also standing around wondering just what the siren meant.

Obviously, a lot of people wondered about the siren and asked KPLC to unravel the mystery. Here's what they found out.

KPLC contacted Dick Gremillion, Calcasieu Director Office of Homeland Security who said that the alarm was not a CAER siren.

Okay. How about the siren at the National Guard Armory? Nope. They tested their siren and it didn't sound at all like the one many people heard Sunday night.

I hate to break it to you, but the story pretty much ends there. No one seems to know what kind of siren it was or what it meant.
