Did Our Justice System Fail? Same Sexual Offender Arrested At Same Restroom Doing the Same Thing

Floyd J Fotenot was arrested back in 2011 during a sting operation focused on sexual activity in public places. He was arrested again this week in the same place. That seems like a fail for our courts!

According to a press release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's office on June 26, an undercover detective with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Vice Division arrested Floyd J. Fontenot, (a 66 yearl old man who lives at 4118 Harvard Street in Lake Charles) after he  observed Fontenot exposing himself inside the men’s restroom near the kids’ water fountain at the Lake Charles Civic Center.

Fontenot, who was previously arrested and charged with obscenity by the CPSO Vice Unit in November 2011 during a sting operation in the same restroom, was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with obscenity.

Why would he do the same thing after being arrested for it before? Could it be because the punishment was not severe enough the first time? Just sayin'.
