They called him the "Human Metronome." Myers was the third drummer for the group and was discovered by Devo fronstman Mark Mothersbaugh. Even studio musicians, who are a notoriously hard to please group of musicians respected Myers pinpoint timing.

Myers drumming was a key ingredient on all of Devo's hits. Of course, the group is best known for their multi million selling single "Whip It" and it was Myers steady beat that lead the song.

Myers joined the group in 1976 and left in 1986 after feeling that he was being replaced by drum machines. It was not an angry split and members of the group begged Myers to stay with it.

How precise was he? Well, that's not a drum machine of "Whip It" -- It's Myers!
