I'm sure that being famous is hard, even on a good day. Hand in hand with that thought is; I'll bet that no longer really being famous is even harder.

For many stars of the 60's and 70's, the only way to get your name in the paper anymore is to either die or get in trouble. Cassidy did the latter.

David Cassidy was arrested on Wednesday in upstate New York for driving while intoxicated, ABC News has confirmed.

According to the Schodack Police Department, the singer, 63, was arrested just after midnight for felony DWI and failure to dim headlights. He was arraigned and remanded to Rensselaer County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail. He later made bail and has since been released.

Cassidy was arrested back in 2010 for DUI and driving with an open container. For the offense, his driving privileges were suspended for a year and he was on probation for six months.

Cassidy is scheduled to return to Town Court on Sept. 4.
