Cucumber Solves Crime

We've all read about robbers who get the munchies while ransacking a house, right? Well, big news to crooks; Your DNA is everywhere!

In England, a guy is going to prison . . . all because he couldn't resist taking one bite of a vegetable.  See . . . that would never happen in America.  We have a superhuman ability to resist vegetables.

Back in August, 22-year-old Billy Joe Donnelly of Hull, England broke into a family's house and stole a ton of stuff.

He also broke into the greenhouse attached to the house . . . and while he was inside, he couldn't resist taking one bite of a fresh cucumber.  Then he stole the family's car and drove off.

When the cops were investigating the scene, they found the cucumber with the bite missing . . . and tested it for DNA.  Billy's DNA was on file from two previous burglary convictions, and it matched the DNA on the cucumber.

Last week, he pleaded guilty to burglary and theft.  He was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison.
