When I was a kid, I thought clowns were funny. Thank you, Stephen King, because now, I'm a little bit creeped out by them.

Imagine thought, you are walking along at night in Northampton, England. the street is deserted and, out of nowhere, a clown that looks just like the clown in Stephen King's 'It' is just standing there, smiling and holding balloons. That is not something you want to encounter, but that's exactly what's happening in Northampton.

There is a word for a fear of clowns, it's called 'coulrophobia' and I'd be willing to bet that between that dregs of humanity, waste of DNA, John Wayne Gacy and Pennywise the Clown in the Stephen King Novel, 'It', a lot of people are afraid of clowns.

The folks in Northampton, England are in the midst of a clown scare right now. It seems that a person (or persons) are dressing up like the aforementioned Pennywise and scaring the wits out of people.

Those who have actually seen the clown report that he merely stands there and stares. How spooky is that?

Despite all the fear the clown has inspired, it's obvious that he means no harm. the mystery clown even has a Facebook page. Still....Would you want to run into this some dark night?

Here is the Facebook page for The Northampton Clown
