McNeese heads east to Hammond this evening, as they take on the Southeastern Louisiana Lions. Kickoff is set for 6:07. The Pokes are 3-2 and 2-1 in the Southland Conference after defeating Nicholls State last week, 38-13.

The Lions are off to a 1-3 start having lost in Beaumont to Lamar last week, 38-14. Their only win came over Northwestern State, 34-24. SLU is 1-1 in the SLC.

This will be the 42 meeting between the 2 schools with the Cowboys holding a 23-18 advantage. McNeese won last year's game in Lake Charles, 21-7. The win broke a 3 game Lions winning streak. The Cowboys have not won in Strawberry Stadium since 2010.

James Tabary continues to light up the Cowboy's offense completing 107 passes out of 180 attempts for 1438 yards and 10 touchdowns. Leading the Cowboys in receptions is Ryan Ross with 20 and Darius Crawley has caught 18 for 395 yards and 5 TDs. Ross also leads the Pokes in rushing with 287 yards on 70 carries. On defense the team is led by Ashari Goins and Damion Morgan with 27 tackles each.

The Lions are led by QB Justin Alo who has completed 41 of 69 pass attempts for 679 yards and 6 TDs. Rasheed Harrell has carried the ball 42 times and picked up 214 yards while scoring a pair of touchdowns.

Leading receiver for SLU is Brandon Acker with 14 catches for 316 yards and 3 TDs.
