I hope you had friends over yesterday for a football party. It was a great day for one. The Cowboys did the unthinkable. They collected a fat paycheck and an impressive win at the same time. How big of a win was it? Well according to Lewis Bonette (McNeese State Asst. AD/Sports Information Director)  The 53 points was the most scored by a Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) team over a BCS squad in college football history while the 32-point margin of victory is the largest by an FCS over a BCS team in history. This win has turned some heads. The Pokes hosts Arkansas-Pine Bluff at 7:30 in Cowboy Stadium this Saturday. You can always hear Cowboy football on Gator 99.5 and at gator995.com.

The Tigers had to fight a little more for their win; but battled hard the entire game and made big plays when they needed them. The Tigers took a 37-27 win from #20 TCU in the Cowboy Classic. The Tigers have to feel good about a first game win over a ranked opponent. LSU will open their home season this Saturday with a visit from UAB.

Lets hope for three big wins next week as the Saints join the fun with a Sunday opener against the Falcons.
