The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office had a busy week rounding up sex offenders who failed to register their proper current addresses. Be aware that these men may be living in your area.

On June 10, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to Iowa in reference to a report of a possible unregistered sex offender living at a home there.  Upon arrival, deputies discovered convicted sex offender Isaac S. Gary, Jr., 27, 408 S. Storer Street, Iowa, had moved two months prior without notifying the proper authorities within three (3) days, as required by law for all registered sex offenders.

Also on June 10, after an offender status check, CPSO Warrants detectives arrested convicted sex offenders Phillip J. Babineaux, 43, 3046 Opelousas Street, and Demar L. Francois, Sr., 26, 3546 E. Roosevelt Street, both of Lake Charles, after the checks revealed both failed to comply with their in-person registration, as required by law for all registered sex offenders.

Gary, who was convicted of indecent behavior with a juvenile in July 2008 in Lafayette Parish, was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with failure to register as a sex offender.  Judge Clayton Davis set his bond at $10,000.

Babineaux, who was convicted of sexual battery of the infirmed in January 2008 in Calcasieu Parish, was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and was charged with failure to register as a sex offender.  Judge Clayton Davis set his bond at $25,000.

Francois, who was convicted of carnal knowledge of a juvenile in September 2011 in Calcasieu Parish, was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with failure to register as a sex offender and released on a $25,000 bond set by Judge Clayton Davis.
