You think this issue is hot enough? Common Core, the standardized testing that has made headlines for several months in a row, will land Governor Bobby Jindal in court.

The lawsuit ,filed  by parents and teachers who support common core that are suing the governor due to his actions against the controversial testing standard was  filed yesterday in Baton Rouge.  According to those filing the suit, the governor is accused   of violating Louisiana's constitution by suspending testing contracts to undermine Common Core.

Jindal says the lawsuit has no merit and even cited a law that gives his administration the authority to oversee contracts.

Meanwhile, in the other camp, 17 state lawmakers who oppose Common Core lodged their own legal challenge against BESE and the state education department, saying they didn't properly enact the standards.
