I can't imagine a scarier scenario than two airplanes colliding at 12,000 feet, but it happened over the weekend. Despite the collision, all 18 people on board both planes walked away. Only the pilot of one plane received minor injuries.

The key to the amazing survival rate is this:

All the passengers and pilots are skydivers, so when the planes collided, they just went ahead and did what they were up there to do! Everyone bailed out and made a safe, and we're sure, spectacular landing. No doubt the folks at the airshow got their monies worth. I hope they tipped the folks that packed their chutes!
