Just last week, a report was released stating that coffee helped prevent certain types of prostate cancer...Now we find it can also cause Aural Hallucinations! Fine with me...Huh? Did you say something???

Drinking Too Much Coffee Can Make You Hear Things
If you keep hearing things that aren’t there, you’re probably drinking too much coffee. Big coffee drinkers are taking a latte break from reality, with half of them likely to hallucinate or hear things, researchers say. If the coffee break is supposed to be a stress-buster – as it often is – that makes things worse. Research at Victorian university La Trobe found that stressed coffee lovers are three times more likely to see or hear imaginary things than non-coffee drinkers. Professor Simon Crowe tested 92 people with varied caffeine-intake and stress levels. Subjects thought they were doing hearing tests and were initially subjected to Bing Crosby singing “White Christmas.” Then they were played three minutes of static hiss – or white noise – and asked to press a buzzer if they heard snippets of “White Christmas” – which there weren’t. On average, low-caffeine subjects heard it once. But stressed coffee guzzlers buzzed three times.

I drink more coffee than just about anyone I know and (as far as I can recall) I've never heard "things".
