Clay Higgins, the Cajun ‘John Wayne’ Releases New Video [VIDEO]

I case you're not familiar with him, Lt. Clay Higgins was a spokesman for the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office until, amid a controversy about one of his videos, forced him to resign.

Higgins is a no nonsense law enforcement officer and his videos have really attracted a lot of attention for his plain-spoken, honest way of expressing his beliefs. His first video was taken from a CrimeStoppers video in which he sent a message directly to a gang known as the Gremlins Gang.

In that video he practically dared the gang to start something in St. Landry Parish. In some ways, he reminds me a bit of our own Chief of Police, Don Dixon. They both pretty much say what's on their minds.

He is now a reserve deputy with the Lafayette City Marshal's Office.
