A different guest speaker will be on hand every Friday, to motivate and inspire the young attendees with their personal stories. In addition reps from a variety of local agencies will have college/trade school applications and information, a presentation on various job skills, including resume writing techniques demonstrations.

Spring Midnight Basketball will be entertainment, with a purpose. Mayor Hunter says, “Spring Midnight Basketball will offer an engaging experience for youth that gives them something to do and also teaches them valuable life skills.” He explained, “While we understand that a number of young people are drawn to basketball, we also recognize a large number of them love to ‘game’ as well. To meet this need, we have partnered with Wal-Mart to provide PlayStation 4 (PS-4) video game consoles set up at both sites where Spring Midnight Basketball is offered.”

Please keep in mind that video game play will be limited to two hours, per event, per participant. For more info about the program, please call (337) 491-1280.
