Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Reports Fatal Traffic Accident In Moss Bluff

Sunday morning at around 2:45 the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office was called to the scene of a traffic accident in Moss Bluff. The wreck involved a single vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. Neither the driver or passenger were wearing seat belts at the time.

he car was traveling West on Gateway Drive when it drove off the road and overturned several times ejecting the driver Jerry W. Sonnier Jr. from Westlake. He died at the scene.

The passenger was Jamie G. Stratton from Lake Charles. This passenger was transported to the hospital in serious condition. A toxicology report will be conducted as required by state law.
