Coming up this weekend and running through Sunday it's the 28th annual Cajun Music and Food Festival, a collection of the best of true Louisiana Cajun culture all under one roof at the Burton Complex.

This highly attended event gets underway today (Friday) starting at 4 p.m. and running until 11 p.m. this evening. The event will also run from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and 8-11 a.m. on Sunday.

Theres a little something for everyone in this 28th annual event. The Cajun Music and Food Fest is a great way to introduce out of state guest to the culture that is unique, not just to our state, but to this area.

In addition to all the great music and food, there will be live auctions, silent auctions, cake walks, art and craft vendors and children's games. Performers will include Lesa Cormier and the Sundown Playboys, Chris Miller & Bayou Roots, Geno Delafose & the French Rockin' Boogie and more.

Admission is $8 for adults. Children ages 12 or under get in free.
