Harry Potter fans will be casting spells and swilling Butter Beer next August when would-be wizards and witches converge in Dallas for the Harry Potter Convention! The folks that run the fansite, Leaky Cauldron, say the swell of interest was so great that they had no choice but to organize LeakyCon.

The company that will run the convention, Mischief Management, has announced that tickets to LeakyCon will go on sale November 15th. Ticket prices will range from $59 for a one day pass, to $349 for a “Marauder Pass.” The "Marauder Pass" will have all kinds of perks, including some brief face-to-face and autograph time with the special guests.

Speaking of special guests, the organizers haven't named any names yet, but the list of special guests at previous Harry Potter conventions have included Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), Dan Folger (Jacob Kowalski, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) and Katie Leung (Cho Chang).

The event is going to be held at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas, and organizers have promised that the venue will be transformed into a Diagon Alley-esque scene straight from the pages of J.K. Rowling’s worldwide blockbuster series. Naturally, attendees will be able to purchase potions, wands, robes, and much more iconic Harry Potter merchandise.

As they say in radio, "But wait! There's more!" Next year, the world Quidditch Championship will be held in Texas, as well. That event is scheduled for April 14-15 of next year in Round Rock, Texas. Round Rock is a suburb of Austin.
