Update — Boil Advisory for Starks Lifted

Good news for folks in the Starks area. You no longer have to boil your water.

Here's the back story on that:

Earlier in the week, The Waterworks District 14 of Ward 5 experienced a break in the water supply which, in turn caused a loss in pressure in the distribution system along Hiway 109 and Evangeline Highway. Anytime the pressure drops like that, the water can be exposed to contaminates.

Should other boil orders be issued, this is all you have to do:

Just bring the water to a boil isn't sufficient. Bring the water to a boil and let it stay at the boiling point for at least one minute. We'll let you know when the boil advisory is lifted. Just listen to 92.9 The Lake and, of course, check back right here for any developments.
