Looks like the folks in Brenham, Texas can't catch a break when it comes to their hometown favorite, Blue Bell Ice Cream. It wasn't that long ago that all their products were pulled from the store shelves because of a Listeria outbreak that wreaked havoc with the Texas based company. I'm sure that little shutdown more than messed with their bottom line. Well, now Blue Bell has a whole new set of worries. The thing is that, this time, the problem is not one with their own plants, but with a plant that supplies them with cookie dough for their Ice Cream.

The company in question is Aspen Hills, and they have recalled their cookie dough because, once again, there have been reports of Listeria contamination. The decision to recall the products came Monday night.

Following the Aspen Hills recall of their cookie dough, Blue Bell is recalling their Blue Bell Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Blue Bell Cookie Two Step. They were sold to retailers and three-gallon packages of Blue Bell Blue Monster, Blue Bell Chocolate Chip Cookie and Blue Bell Krazy Kookie Dough were sold to food service clients.

These particular flavors were produced between February and September of this year and, yes, Louisiana is included in the recall area. It's not know how much, if any, of that particular product made its way to the store shelves, but to be on the safe side, don't consume it.
