Black Friday started getting out of hand a few years ago, and a lot of retailers took it to such extremes that insanity ensued. For the past several years, it seems that more and more stores, in an attempt to cash in on Black Friday, are opening on Thanksgiving Day so as to squeeze out a few extra bucks.

Well, that trending is on the decline and now several stores have announced that they will close all day on Thanksgiving Day and reopen very early the next morning. A lot of people see being open on Thanksgiving as going to far and bordering on greed. it could be that some of the stores that will be closed for turkey day are doing so to overcome the negative response that Black Friday has gotten over the past few years.

A few of the big retailers who have announced that they will no longer open of Thanksgiving Day include Some of the places that'll be closed are Costco, Home Depot ,Nordstrom, Gamestop ,TJ Maxx , Crate and Barrel and Staples  Also jumping on that bandwagon is the largest mall in the world, the Mall of the Americas in Minneapolis.

Now if we could just get a bunch of retailers to announce that they will not start their in-store Christmas music until Thanksgiving, and we'll be on the right track.
