I guess that at least some new casters have a fairly serious reputation, so when they make a mistake, it's a lot funnier. Here's a collection of The Best Bloopers of August, 2016.

I wish I had a copy of the funniest news blooper I ever saw. I don't remember the name of the news anchor, but he was on KPLC back in the '80s. The poor guy lost his place and proceeded to make all sorts of sounds while he tried to regain his control over the news. He ended up saying things like "Um' and "Ah" for a good 15 seconds. Just when you thought he was through, he started up again.

I guess it's a good thing that we get a chance to see these "serious" newscasters break up and make mistakes on camera. It makes them more human.
