Did you know that the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office had a VCIU unit? I didn't. Well, it turns out that VCIU stands for Vehicle Crimes Investigation Unit and they were kept busy by what looks like a family job out on Gulf Highway and at Gautier Road as well. So, back on July 26th the VCIU unit responded to a call about five vehicle burglaries in the area of Gulf Highway and one call of the same to an area of Gautier Road.

After an investigation at the sites, detectives named John M. Guillory, 18, Darrien C. Guillory, 19, both of 2006 19th Street, Lake Charles, and Charlie Y. Guillory, 20, 4349 Gorden Woods Drive, Lake Charles as suspects in the case.

On July 17th the detectives interviewed John Guillory who was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center (CCC) with a bond of $5,500 set by Judge Clayton Davis. A few days later, Judge Davis also signed warrants in the amount of $4,600 for the arrest of Darrien Guillory and a $4,300 warrant for Charlie Guillory.

Since that time, Darrien Guillory has surrendered to authorities and was booked into the CCC. Each of the suspects is being charged with 5 counts of simple burglary; 4 counts of theft under $750; and simple criminal property damage.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance in locating Charlie Guillory (picture attached).  If anyone knows his whereabouts please call CPSO lead Detective Greg Nall at (337) 491-3747 or Crime Stoppers at (337) 439-2222.
