Breaking News: Father Says Tyrann Mathieu Will Enroll At LSU Tuesday
Reports are coming in that Tyrann Mathieu aka “The Honey Badger” will enroll at LSU tomorrow.
Tyrone Mathieu announced in late August that Tyrann would not play football this season and was working on his issues with former NBA player John Lucas. Seems now the issues maybe resolved and Tyrann is ready to go back to school.

LSU Still Plans On Playing Home Football Game Saturday Despite Isaac — For Now
With all eyes on Isaac, the LSU football team are still preparing for their game against North Texas this Saturday night at Tigers Stadium.
LSU Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Joe Alleva issued a statement today regarding the game and tropical storm Isaac. For now, the Tigers plan on playing the game but of course that could change.

Tropical Storm Isaac Could Make Saints Evacuate Early
The New Orleans Saints football team is watching Tropical Storm Isaac closely. The Saints are scheduled to play the Tennessee Titans Thursday night in their final preseason game of the year in Nashville.
Interim head coach Joe Vitt said yesterday that the team was watching the storm and would make a decision soon on when to leave New Orleans for Nashville.

Update: Calcasieu Parish Under Tropical Storm Watch
As of the 7:00 a.m. update, Southwest Louisiana is now under a Tropical storm watch. The cone of uncertainty has shifted further westward which now looks like it includes all of Louisiana.
Update: 7:00 a.m. advisory: The 7 a.m has just come out and nothing has really changed as far as projected path and wind speeds. Tropical Storm Isaac is currently sporting 65 mph winds with gusts up to 75 mph. If you are tracking at home, Isaac is currently at 25.7 north and 84.7 west moving West Northwest at 13 mph. Isaac is located 616 miles East South East of Lake Charles.
UPDATE 4:00 a.m. advisory— ***Calcasieu, Beauregard, Cameron and the rest of Southwest Louisiana is under a tropical storm watch***Tropical storm Isaac has not really strengthened overnight. Winds are still at 65 mph with gusts to 75 mph now. We encourage everyone to stayed tuned to the radio and here on line and to make sure that you have a plan of action in place just in case Isaac decides to move further to the west. There will be another update at 7 a.m.

UPDATE 10:15 p.m. advisory— The new 10 p.m. advisory looks like the track of tropical storm Isaac has moved even more to the west and now includes most of Louisiana which could be bad news for us here at home in the Southwest Louisiana area. Isaac is currently positioned at 24.2 North and 82.9 West or 772 miles East Southeast of Lake Charles moving West Northwest at 12 mph. Winds are currently at 65 mph gusting to 75 mph.

UPDATE 7:00 p.m. advisory: The new update at 7:00 p.m. shows that Isaac’s winds have increased to 65 mph and gusts to 70 mph. The track is about the same from the 4 p.m. update but the west side of the cone is covering into the Baton Rouge/Lafayette area too.

Update 3:30p.m.—Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal issues a state of emergency for the entire state.
UPDATE: 3:12 p.m. Louisiana Radio Network is reporting: With Isaac in the Gulf and forecast storm tracks bringing it in this direction, Governor Bobby Jindal has scheduled a press conference for this afternoon (Sunday 08/26) at 3:15 pm.
UPDATE: 3:10 p.m. WWLTV in New Orleans is reporting: Mayor Landrieu has called a state of emergency for Orleans Parish ahead of Isaac.

Saints and Texans Preseason Game To Be Televised Nationally
The New Orleans Saints and the Houston Texans will lock up Saturday night inside the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans in a NFL preseason contest.
The Saints are 1-2 in the preseason while the Houston Texans are 2-0. The game Saturday night will be televised nationally.

It is finally here high school football fans! The 2012 high school football season is underway. Last night, a couple of lake area teams were in action in the football jamborees. It’s teams last scrimmage to tune up before the regular season begins next week.

Tropical Storm Isaac Enters The Caribbean
Hurricane season is in full swing and the Caribbean is churning with tropical storm Isaac. Tropical storm Isaac is forecast to become a hurricane by 1:00 p.m. tomorrow.

Drew Brees Tweets About New Addition To His Family
Drew Brees just locked in a new contract with the Saints and is getting ready for the upcoming football season. Things couldn’t be better for Drew and his family. Well yesterday, it got a little better. Drew Brees took a little time off to welcome in a new addition to his family.
Drew Brees and his wife welcomed in their third son last night, Callen Christian Brees. Brees took to twitter to make the announcement.

Tyrann Mathieu In Rehab — Honey Badger Will Not Play Football This Year
All week, we have all have been waiting on some form of an announcement to see where the “Honey Badger” will go play football this season after being dismissed from the LSU football team last Friday.
Well the wait is over. WVUE-TV in New Orleans is reporting that Tyrann Mathieu entered a rehab center on Monday in Houston and will not play football this season.
