Afternoons, putting the FUN back into radio and chances for you to win! David Morgan is a Detroit native, who got into radio in the mid 1970’s after a stint in the U.S. Army. Career stops have included Kenosha, WI, Bloomington, IN and Ocean City, MD before landing in Lake Charles in 1994. David and wife Ginger have seven cats: Munchkin, Curly Jo, Hokey, Pokey (that’s right), Lady Jane Grey, Dirt Bag, and Nefertitti … Dave opens a lot of cat food! David still roots for his hometown sports teams the Detroit Tigers and even the Detroit Lions, and also enjoys watching college football. In fact, David and Ginger bet dinner on the outcome of the Michigan/Ohio State football game and Detroit /Cleveland baseball and football standings. David and Ginger also enjoy attending McNeese Banners Series events.

Meat? Not So Much These Days

Where’s the beef in Americans’ diets?  According to the USDA, we’re eating less meat these days- and that decline is expected to continue.  More than a third of U.S. households ate less meat and poultry last year, for both health and financial reasons.

You may be able to successfully avoid those donuts at your morning staff meeting, but good luck avoiding the rude remarks from your fellow employees!  Almost 30% of people say their coworkers try to sabotage their diets, encouraging them to eat unhealthily or chiding them for their healthy habits, according to The Wall Street Journal.
