Hard to believe it's almost Easter. I could have sworn I just ook down my Christmas tree, but ,sure enough, Easter is this Sunday.

We're fortunate to live in an area where there are plenty of events scheduled for faminly Easter outings. Here are a few you might want to check out.

• LAKE CHARLES: 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 1 at Epps Memorial Library, 1324 Simmons St.

• LAKE CHARLES: Lake Area Easter Festival 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 4 at Trinity Baptist Church, 1800 Country Club Road. For children grades 5 and under. Residents must pre-register HERE.

• LAKE CHARLES: CSJ-Ent. Annual Children's Easter Egg Hunt 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 4 at Millennium Park near the Lake Charles Civic Center. The event is free and open to children ages 2-12. For more information, call 337-292-5095.

• SULPHUR: Public Easter egg hunt 10 a.m. Saturday, April 4 at Heritage Square. For children 10 and under as well as special needs children.

• LAKE CHARLES: Family Easter Celebration 1-6 p.m. Saturday, April 4 at Hillcrest/Bellard Community Center, 2808 Hillcrest Drive. For more information, contact 337-660-3116 or go HERE.
