The 2013 Airshow at Chennault drew about 25,000 people according to the Lake Charles American Press then there was no airshow last year. The air show is set to return October 24th-25th this year.

Randy Rob is the president of the board of directors for the airshow and Chennault International Airport. He told the American Press that some issues with Chennault in 2014 have been addressed and the airshow will return this year. He went on to say that the main thing the airshow needs is volunteers. The volunteers all see the show for free and receive meals free.

Rob said that a ticketing agency has been selected and a list of possible sponsors has been compiled, The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will head line the show, The list of entertainment for the upcoming show is impressive. It includes the Golden Knights (the U.S. Army parachute team,) the Shockwave Jet Truck, Skip Stewart's aerobatic symphony and Matt Younkin's Beech 18 performance and many others.
