Advertising From the Past That Would Be Banned Today [VIDEO]

I was exploring the outer reaches of YouTube the other day. I'll do that from time to time. I always start off by playing something from my "Favorites" list and then end up following various suggested videos from that right hand column and the next thing I know, I'm coming across really interesting stuff that has noting to do whatsoever with my original search.

Now, I don't know if you know this, but I actually come from an advertising background and I find the world of advertising from the past to be fascinating. I came across this video and it's ads from the past that would absolutely stop the world from turning if anyone dared to air them in this day and age.

It was a different world then, with different sensibilities and opinions. You'll find a lot of ads that, today, would be called "sexist" and you'd be right by today's standards, but it's amazing how much advertising from those days reflects the mind-set of the times. Right or wrong, here are ads that would be banned today.
