No one escapes the slings and barbs of outrageous Gridiron !

If you know local politics, you'll love Gridiron! The Ad and Press Club's "no holds barred" show is an equal opportunity spoofer!

Each year, the A&P, gathers all the news from the previous year and writes skits, parody songs and jokes about just about anyone and anything that made the news. It's all locally written and performed and it's always funny!

It's also a very fun way to spend an evening. Dinner and a funny show. Just what the doctor ordered!

Here's a bit more about what to expect and how to get tickets:

40th Annual Gridiron...

Remember 1972?

Nixon visited China. Dallas defeated Miami in the Super Bowl. "The French Connection" won the Oscar for Best Picture. The Lake Charles Civic Center opened its doors. And: The Ad & Press Club of Southwest Louisiana staged its first-ever Gridiron comedy revue.

Today, 40 YEARS LATER, Gridiron is the longest-running stage show in Lake Charles. It's a night of hilarious skits, songs and videos that poke fun at local news makers, headlines and the news media who cover them. You come for dinner and drinks, and you stay for the laughs. Ask anybody who's been to Gridiron, and they'll tell you it's the top entertainment (and networking) event of the summer. Many in the crowd are the movers and shakers who are being lampooned on stage -- and some are disappointed if they aren't mentioned.

It’s a local tradition whose proceeds benefit the Ad and Press Club Scholarship Foundations at McNeese State University and Sowela Technical Community College.

This year’s edition takes place SATURDAY, JULY 21, in the Lake Charles Civic Center Coliseum. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. for a social and networking hour.
