In the wake of the 26 lives lost in Newtown, Connecticut on last week, the safety of children in schools across the country are being tested once again as another rampage by a gunman on school grounds has occured. Now parents are opting to purchasing back packs lined with the same material that protects the men and women of the military and police departments across the country and the world.

It's been a week since the tragic killings of 26 innocent people in Newtown, Connecticut on the morning of December 14. We still pray for those 20 children and 6 adults as well as the gunman Adam Lanza, who took their lives and his own.

Now sales at a company in Salt Lake City, Utah called Amendment 2 have reportedly sky rocketed in the last week for their custom bullet proof back packs for kids. The bags are lined with the same material as vest's used by soldiers and police, as well as body armor for children. Before the tragic events in Connecticut, the company only sold a few at gun shows, and the bags sell for between $150 and $300. You can also see similar bags from company Bullet Blocker. Is this a purchase that you as a parent would be willing to make to protect your child? Do you think we are being hasty in our decisions due to the tragic events that have impacted our country, and it's impending battle for better gun control?
